In short: brick and concrete paver driveways and patios in Orlando typically cost $10–$30 per square foot installed, as an estimate, depending on the paver, the pattern and the base work needed.

Why pavers
Pavers cost more than asphalt or plain concrete, but they last, they come in many colors and patterns, and individual pieces can be lifted and re-laid if a root lifts a corner or a utility line needs work. They also handle Florida's heat without the softening that asphalt can show in summer.
How a paver job is built
- Excavation to the right depth for a driveway or a patio.
- Base: compacted aggregate, then a screeded sand bedding layer.
- Pavers laid in the pattern you pick, cut clean at the edges.
- Edge restraint so the field doesn't creep, then joint sand swept in and compacted.
Paver price guide
| Job | Estimated price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Paver driveway or patio | $10–$30 / sq ft | Paver choice and pattern drive it |
| Concrete driveway, for comparison | $8–$18 / sq ft | See concrete driveways |
| Asphalt driveway, for comparison | $7–$13 / sq ft | Lowest cost per sq ft |
These prices are estimates. Removal of an old slab, curved borders and premium pavers cost more. We price the options side by side.
Brick pavers questions
Do paver driveways need sealing?
It's optional. Sealing deepens the color and helps keep joint sand in place; many owners do it every few years.
Will weeds grow between pavers?
Properly compacted joint sand, or polymeric sand, keeps most weeds and ants out.
Can pavers go over my existing driveway?
Sometimes over sound concrete, if the height works at the garage and street. Usually we remove the old surface and build a proper base.
